The Humane Society is dedicated to existing as a membership-based organization. Community participation is critical to the mission of improving the quality of life for companion animals and the quality of living in the many communities of southern New Mexico.
With your membership you will receive:
- HSSNM newsletters announcing events, educational articles, and news on the state of affairs for companion animals in southern New Mexico and elsewhere.
- Invitations to membership meetings and a vote for election of board members.
- Invitations to annual gala events or community summits for education and action.

The Humane Society of Southern New Mexico is a New Mexico non-profit corporation with IRS 501(c)3 tax exempt states. We are also registered with the New Mexico Attorney General as a Charitable Organization. All of our expenses are directed toward improving community education, animal welfare, fundraising for the organization and reasonable administrative costs for compliance with our corporate standing. No salaries or any other form of financial gain is permitted for either board members, or members at large.
